Whisky Yamazakura Asaka Single Malt

Discover the Yamazakura Asaka Single Malt, a singular expression of the small distillery Asaka, located near Koriyama in the Fukushima province. Started in 2016, the distillery began its journey to create unique and refined Japanese whiskies. This single malt is distilled twice in traditional Pot Still from malted barley, highlighting the distinct flavors of the Asaka distillery.

After distillation, the whisky ages for 3 years in bourbon barrels, enriching the flavor profile with complexity and depth. Unfiltered at cold, it maintains its authenticity and natural texture, providing an intense and pure tasting experience. This limited edition was produced in small quantities from a careful selection of 10 bourbon barrels, resulting in only 3,000 bottles.

On the nose, it reveals delicate complexity, with nuances of apricot, wildflower honey, and bourbon vanilla. In the mouth, it presents a velvety and gastronomic texture, with marked notes of orange marmalade, vanilla, and French toast. The flavors mix with subtlety, creating a balanced and complex profile. The finish is smooth and persistent, leaving rich and slightly spicy notes of grain and touches of crystallized fruit, concluding with a warm sensation that prolongs the pleasure of tasting.
