Crafted exclusively from old vines at two iconic Douro estates, Quinta da Cavadinha and Quinta do Retiro, this Port embodies concentration and elegance, hallmarks of a challenging year. With remarkably low yields, it took three vines to produce a single bottle. The result is a deeply colored wine with exuberant aromas of roses, lavender, and dark fruits, perfectly balanced by a subtle acidity. The year’s adversity amplified its complexity and distinctive character. Bottled unfiltered, Warre's Vintage 2020 Ruby showcases the Douro’s diversity and mastery of Port winemaking. 50% destemming, fermented in stainless steel tanks with automatic reassembly and temperature control. Stage for 12 Months in large barrels, continuing in stainless steel till bottling. Color retinta and opaque. Classic aroma, ripe and intense fruit, notes of chocolate and pepper. Full-bodied, persistent and lively flavor with vigorous tannins. It is an intense, mature and full-bodied wine. A positive aging in the bottle is anticipated for many years after bottling, acquiring a character of its own.

Quinta das Carvalhas is a property of great beauty and spectacularity, with a predominant position on the slope of the left bank of the Douro River in Pinhão, which extends along the slopes of the right bank of the affluent Torto River. The oldest written references to the Quinta date back to 1759. The grapes of the estate are located at low altitude with sun exposure from north to south, providing Ports and Douro wines intense, concentrated and full of character and elegance.
