Offley Porto Tawny
Offley Porto Tawny is an elegant red Port Wine, a classic tawny that combines maturity and freshness. Created by the prestigious Offley brand, which merges contemporary style with nearly three centuries of experience, this Portuguese fortified wine represents the excellence of the Douro and the winemaking tradition of Porto.
Produced according to the traditional Port Wine method, Offley Tawny results from a careful selection of noble grape varieties: Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Tinta Barroca, and Tinto Cão. The hand-harvested grapes are destemmed and crushed, followed by fermentation with skin maceration to extract the best components. The strategic addition of grape brandy establishes the perfect balance between body and aroma. After rigorously controlled fermentation, the wines remain in the Douro until the following spring, when they are transported to the centuries-old cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. There they age in oak casks, being regularly racked, tasted, and analyzed by the winemaking team to maintain the brand’s consistency and unmistakable style.
