Quinta do Noval Colheita 2000 Tawny
52,46 €
Each Harvest is distinct although always marked by Noval’s “terroir”. They are wines from the very rare Ports – among the best in the Douro region – produced in very small quantities and unfairly little recognized. Quinta do Noval is one of the few Port Wine Houses famous for both its Vintage and Tawny Harvests. In exceptional years, lots of wine with extraordinary aging potential are chosen to work their entire lives in hooves. Then we decided to bottle a part, the rest being holed up, where it will continue to age and develop a new expression. In this way, the same Harvest can be launched in the market on several occasions: after 15, 30 or 40 years of aging and even more, in some cases. The grapes are trodden on foot to obtain the wort and are again trodden during fermentation in the traditional Quinta mills. The legislation establishes a minimum of 7 years of hull aging. At Noval, the Harvests are marketed after 10 to 12 years of aging. Contains sulfites.
