Blandy’s Bual Vintage 1994
The Blandy’s Bual Vintage 1994 is a sublime expression of the Frasqueira category, representing the pinnacle of Madeira wine. Produced by the prestigious Blandy family, who have remained independent since 1811, this wine originates from Bual grapes hand-harvested in Calheta. Its long and meticulous ageing process took place in the traditional canteiro system, resting in oak casks at ambient temperatures until its bottling in 2025.
This specimen reflects the unique volcanic terroir of Madeira Island and the mastery of winemaker Francisco Albuquerque, resulting in a wine of extraordinary complexity and longevity, where sweetness and acidity merge in perfect harmony.
