Barbeito Sercial Curtimenta Harvest 2014 is a unique expression of winemaking mastery and innovation, born from the 2014 harvest and vinified through the meticulous tanning technique. This process involved selected grapes from two different origins, Jardim da Serra and Seixal, fermented in two small lagares dedicated to the Sercial grape variety. After fortification, the wine benefited from an additional three months of tanning, enriching its complexity and intensity.
During the seven years of aging, the remaining berries were carefully placed in the barrels, contributing to the unique profile of this wine. In March 2023, 890 units were bottled, each individually numbered, sealing the exclusivity of this vintage.
With a pure aroma and remarkable intensity, it reveals notes of dried fruits, coconut, green tobacco leaf and white pepper. The Barbeito Boal Vinha do Charlot Harvest 2005 is a celebration of uniqueness and legacy. Manuel Sardinha Duarte, known affectionately as "Charlot", gave its name to this exceptional Boal vineyard located in Calheta, on the Jardim Pelado site. This region, notable for its dry and hot climate, is the birthplace of rich, complex wines that challenge the limits of winemaking and aging. The 2005 harvest marks the first single cask bottling from this vineyard by Vinhos Barbeito, with 1300 meticulously numbered 500ml units, bottled in July 2023.
This wine is distinguished by its aging in 750 liter casks, which gives it a harmonious aroma with fresh notes of orange leaf and peach, balsamic nuances and a marked salinity. With a production limited to 1020 bottles, this Colheita 2015 is aged in 620 liter casks, in a warehouse with a wide temperature range that promotes slow evolution and incredible concentration in the wine. Half of the grapes were harvested a week before they reached full ripeness, thus removing the advantage of obtaining greater acidity. This was reinforced through the use of continuous pressing in the winemaking process. In March 2009, the aging process of this wine began using the traditional Canteiro method, under moderate temperatures, in old French oak casks. Light golden color. Aroma of candied fruits, yellow fruit jam, dried flower, ripe citrus and pistachio. Delicate luscious taste, fine and balanced acidity in a long and fresh finish. Excellent as an aperitif. It goes well with olives, toasted almonds, marinated fish, salads and cheeses.

Blandy's Sercial 1968 aged 49 years in used American Oak casks, and like all family vintages, it matured in the Blandy's Wine Lodge warehouses, where it was successively transferred from the hottest warehouse, known as “Sotão” of the Almond. The grapes were vinified in an oil press, in the open spout system, and fermented until they had about 7%. Fermentation was stopped with the addition of neutral alcohol of wine origin. The production of this 30-year-old wine is based on a blend of the best years of several decades of the Bual variety made with an average age of 32 years, the youngest being about 11 years old and the oldest 47 years old, exclusively from Boal grapes. harvested on the sunny slopes of Campanário and Estreito do Calheta. Vinification of open beak, in casks, with alcoholization before the end of the last third of fermentation. Blandy’s 30 Years Old Bual aged in 650 liter old American oak casks until the batch was made. Then he “married” in a satin wooden vat where he stayed for about 6 months until he stabilized. Before bottling it underwent a slight filtration. Lush, rich and creamy, with spicy flavors of citrus peel, dried apricot and roasted peach, interwoven by a vibrant acidity. Pure and mineral, with notes of white pepper. It culminates in an endless finish, filled with a complex blend of savory herbal details. Contains sulfites.
