Barbeito Sercial Curtimenta Harvest 2014 is a unique expression of winemaking mastery and innovation, born from the 2014 harvest and vinified through the meticulous tanning technique. This process involved selected grapes from two different origins, Jardim da Serra and Seixal, fermented in two small lagares dedicated to the Sercial grape variety. After fortification, the wine benefited from an additional three months of tanning, enriching its complexity and intensity.
During the seven years of aging, the remaining berries were carefully placed in the barrels, contributing to the unique profile of this wine. In March 2023, 890 units were bottled, each individually numbered, sealing the exclusivity of this vintage.
With a pure aroma and remarkable intensity, it reveals notes of dried fruits, coconut, green tobacco leaf and white pepper. In the mouth, it is smooth and "meaty", with an elaborate structure, citrus flavors and an almost spicy electric acidity. The finish is dry, fresh and persistent, marking each sip with an unforgettable memory.

Montes Claros with the designation “Garrafeira” was elaborated from a preview of old vineyards installed in shale soils, with strict control of grape production per hectare and monitoring of the evolution of maturation in each caste and specific field. This process involved, in particular, the associated winemakers, who were extremely cared for for the production of extra quality grapes. Upon arrival at the cellar the grapes were smoothly crushed with total disgust, followed by the process of alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel, with moderate mechanics, ending in maceration for 10 days, under temperature control at 24ºC. Malolactic fermentation occurred in 1st use of 1st use of French, American and Brown Oak, which followed a 12 -month internship in the same barrels. After slight filtration, the traffic jam and a final stage of 30 months in a bottle occurred. Clear appearance and color grenade with depth. Good aromatic intensity, highlighting the notes of red fruits in jam, coffee, chocolate and spices. Soft flavor, with fruity freshness, excellent structure, slight expert and toasted astringency, with wild but soft and full -bodied tannins. This wine expresses the desire to make a Touriga Nacional from old vines. In a region where the old vineyard consists of a wide range of grape varieties mixed in the same plot. In 2009, 3,500 kg of Touriga Nacional were harvested from a single 80-year-old vineyard, which implied making a choice of Touriga Nacional grape varieties in the large set of grape varieties of that parcel.
