Xisto Cru Red

39,89
Wine from two vineyards in Cima Corgo, one in Covas do Douro and the other in Ervedosa do Douro, all over 80 years old, the first planted at 400 meters altitude facing west and the second planted at 570 meters altitude and facing North. The soils are schist, with a predominance of blue schist, a harder stone that gives rise to more austere wines. The vinification methods were very little interventional, the fermentation with stalks is done by indigenous yeasts in open wooden vats from old Port wine barrels. It presents a complex aroma with notes of fresh fruit, woodland berry and pine needles, a slight smoky note. In the mouth, it is intense and fresh, with great depth, with a very present acidity, alive and balanced. Contains sulfites.
