TOP 5 BEST WINES OF PORTUGAL
Anselmo Mendes A Torre Branco
Alvarinho, fermented in used barrels. It impresses immediately with its youth and elegance on the complex nose, with citrus nuances of grapefruit and lime, wet stone, and some dried fruit. The palate is unctuous, with vibrant and integrated acidity, resulting in a wine with body, but simultaneously full of finesse and class. It has a long, fresh, and pleasant finish and will evolve positively for many years.
Casa da Passarella Vindima 2014 Tinto
Extraordinary color and brilliance for its age. Fragrant and delicate aroma, elegant and fresh red fruit, berries, heath, fresh pine and resins, all at a superlative level of complexity. The palate is broad and well-worked, pure class in the tannins, very flavorful, again with a fresh and creamy profile, with notes of pine nut and blue fruit. Long and elegant finish.
Kopke 80 Years Tawny
Defined amber color with greenish reflections indicating very long aging. Deep, complex, dynamic, and multi-layered aroma, suggesting exotic woods, toasted nuts, resins, botanical notes, pennyroyal, and medicinal herbs. An intoxicating and emotional tasting experience due to the singular nature of this wine. It stands out for its freshness, tension, phenomenal acidity, with notes of tangerine peel, dried apricot, clove, and coffee.
Quinta das Bágeiras Bairrada Sparkling
Natural Brut. 48 months aging. Light orange-salmon color. Exuberant and young aroma, with delicate red fruit, very fresh, all with intensity and a very attractive vegetal note. The palate has immense flavor, crisp acidity, a persistent bead, and medium-high pressure. A challenging sparkling wine of great caliber.
Phenomena Douro Rosé
Another great release of this magnificent rosé. Exuberant and very beautiful aroma, with a splendor of red berries, watermelon, and hibiscus. On the palate, it is agile and light, but with creaminess and a lot of flavor, crisp acidity, light minerality, and a broad, floral, and spicy finish.
