Véu de Xisto

Being a fan of wines aged under a veil of oxidative yeast led Luis Seabra to experiment with aging a white wine for 3 years under flower. Rabigato, Códega and Gouveio from 30-year-old vines from the Meda region of Douro Superior were fermented natively in 500L barrels, and were left under the thin film of yeast, uncoated. It was moved to stainless steel for another 2 years of rest before bottling. 890 bottles were made. Contains sulfites.
